Connie is lovingly survived by: her husband of 51 years, Jon Helm; sons Jon Alan Helm of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Glen Randall Helm and wife, Jami Lynn, of Coweta, Oklahoma; grandchildren Haley Marie Janes and husband, Andrew, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jon Tyler Helm of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Gunner Alan Helm of Broken Arrow; great-grandson Ezra Levi Janes of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sisters Hazel Pitcock and husband, Rayburn, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; Elaine Williams of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Janette Raver of Hubbard, Ohio; brothers Jack Matlock of Bixby, Oklahoma, Mike Matlock of Muskogee, Oklahoma and John Matlock and wife, Donna, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends.

My wonderful wife of 51 years eight months Connie J. Helm lost her second battle with breast cancer in six years on 2 27 23 after a valiant fight. When she found the lump in the second breast March of 2022, it was already Stage 4, and it progressed into the very painful bone cancer. My brother Jim Helm helped greatly, and we were able to keep her home to care for her on hospice until she passed into the arms of Jesus as a born-again believer. 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Thank you to all the people who prayed for us during this difficult journey.
